There has been a ROP Construction Technology course for more than thirty years, my name is Louie  and I have taken this class building a home, when I was 17 years old at Chaffey High School, they did this for twenty years.  I did not know at that time, that this is what I was going to do with my life.  Now as a construction teacher its time to take the course to a new level, by making a program that can financially sustain itself, provide self employment and building green homes, which is one thing that has never been done.  One may think this is not a good time for this program to succeed with so many homes on the market.  I founded this non-profit 12/31/1990, our first project was the Temecula Boys and Girls club. The past several years My students and I have been building for Habitat for Humanity in Hemet.

As a builder, general contractor and teacher, I can say it’s a perfect time, as a non-profit we can do so much and we must use this important tool to its fullness.
